What makes our guarana powder different?
Guarana products come in many forms. There’s guarana seed extract and guarana powder. But not all guarana powder products are the same. The difference lies on the quality of the raw guarana used, how it has been handled and finally, how it has been processed.
Our guarana plants are grown in plantations located in Bahia in the northeastern part of Brazil. The location offers factors that all help raise healthy guarana plants—sufficient humidity, well-distributed rainfalls and fertile soils.
Harvest of our organic guarana fruits happens once a year and only when the guarana are fully mature. If only a few reaches maturation, the guarana fruits are picked individually by hand. If the whole bunch is ripe, the stem is manually broken off or snipped with a scissor.
Because our plants have been grown in naturally fertile soils, we do not need to use any artificial fertilizers on it. All throughout its life, the guarana plants are also free from herbicides, fungicides and other chemicals that could potentially harm the plants and those who will use its fruits.
We also do not use chemicals on our products even after harvest when the raw guarana fruits are being processed. Our guarana is organically certified by Organic Farmers and Growers who is one of UK’s leading organic control bodies.
The fruits to be processed are carefully select. Then, the fruits is soaked in water so that the skin can easily be removed. After peeling, the seeds are pre-dried under the sun before being transferred to an industrial oven where they are left to be dehydrated at 40°C.
At that temperature, the seeds will lose moisture, but still retain its nutrients and distinct flavor. The dried guarana fruits will then be grounded into a fine powder and immediately packed after. No preservatives or additives—just 100 percent raw organic guarana powder.
