Organic Coconut Sugar UK

Sugar is found in thousands of products today—from beverages to toothpaste.  But there’s a danger to sweeteners (artificial or otherwise) used in these products as they are linked to obesity, Cholesterol and other more serious diseases.

Fortunately, we have healthier, more nutritious options like organic coconut sugar, raw coconut nectar, and coconut syrup.  Compared to regular white table sugar which is highly processed and supplies only empty calories, coconut sugar—or coconut palm sugar to be more accurate—is low in glycemic index, higher in nutrients and tastes a whole lot better too..

How is Coconut Sugar made? What is in Coconut Sugar?

Coconut sugar, raw coconut nectar and coconut syrup all come from the sap of the coconut palm’s flower buds, not from the coconut fruit itself. Several slits or “wounds” are made on the flower buds to let out the sap. This raw sap—that sugary circulating fluid of the plant— is what is called coconut nectar. When the moisture of the sap is removed under controlled evaporation until the desired thickness or consistency is achieved, coconut syrup is produced.  Coconut sugar is created when the sap is boiled until it has thickened and the water has completely evaporated. Of all possible sugar there is, organic coconut sugar is the most nutritious and the most sustainable of all.

Our Coconut Sugar, Coconut Syrup and Raw Coconut Nectar

The coconuts we use for all our coconut products are organically grown and ethically sourced in Java, Indonesia or Sri Lanka where the tree is endemic.  Farmers climb the tree and with great skill, make incisions on the stalk of the coconut flower. As the sap begins to run, farmers collect it in bamboo containers and are later heated until thick and concentrated.   Our producers do not use chemicals to avoid fermentation (this must be avoided when making sugar), they use organic mangosteen peels, lime and water instead. The color of the final product may vary depending on the caramelization that has occurred, but all our coconut products, be it sugar, syrup or nectar, are organic.  The Coconut nectar is the only coconut sweetener that is completely raw, as it has not been heated, but all varieties are full of nutrients.  On top of that, our coconut sweeteners have a rich flavor and aroma and is 100 percent pure. Impact Foods can consistently supply organic coconut sugar, raw coconut nectar, and organic coconut syrup in bulk, private label and white label.   We can handle anything from 3litre orders to full container loads and we offer a complete private labeling service  for glass jars or tubs for resale. We hope to deliver to more UK companies and companies all over Europe so more people can enjoy the healthy and deliciously sweet caramel flavor of our coconut sweeteners!
